How to troubleshoot my Foxtel/Pay tv remote?

Looking to purchase a replacement remote for your FOXTEL or Pay tv?

This replacement PAYTV Remote is Brand New and can be used as a replacement or as an additional or spare remote for your Foxtel Box or MyStar

There's no programming needed its already setup and READY TO USE all you need to do is press the PAYTV button and you're good to go.

Please note this remote is for FOXTEL and may not work on AUSTAR boxes. 

Initial setup

To use your remote for the first time press the PAYTV button and you're good to go. If your remote is not working, or only some of the buttons are working please following these steps.

Step 1: Confirm the remote has power
Press the PAYTV button and look for a red light at the top of the remote
  1. No red light? Continue to Step 2
  2. If there is a red light go to step 5
Step  2: Reset your remote as per Foxtel offical instructions
Remove the batteries -> Press ALL the buttons on the remote -> Re-insert the batteries
-> Press PAYTV button
Remote not working? Go to step 3

Step 3: Replace the batteries
Replace the batteries with 2 New AA batteries. Please note rechargeable batteries may not work.
Remote still not working? Go to step 4

Step 4: Adjust the springs
Remove the batteries -> Pull the " + " contact springs in the remote a little bit outwards to ensure the batteries are in contact with the metal springs when putting them in.
If your remote still has no power please contact us and we will respond ASAP

Step 5: Reset your remote as per the following instructions
Press the AV button on the Pay Tv remote once -> the press and hold together the SELECT and the RED buttons. Hold both buttons down until the red light on the remote flashes twice -> release the buttons and press 9-8-1 in order -> The red light will flash twice to indicate a successful reset of the remote -> press the PAYTV button again and test the remote.
Some buttons still not working? Please continue to step 6.

Step 6: Reset your remote as per Foxtel offical instructions
Remove the batteries -> Press ALL the buttons on the remote -> Re-insert the batteries -> Press the PAYTV button
